Stamped Concrete:
Also described as patterned or imprinted concrete involves a process
called pattern-stamping. This is done by "stamping" patterns
into colored concrete with special stamping tools. When the stamping
is complete, the concrete appears as a surface such as brick, stone,
tile and more. After it can be sealed, and varnished to enhance
colors and providing greater stain and weather resistance. The final
product is a concrete slab that shows the beauty of masonry with
the durability of concrete. Many paterns are available such as tile,
slate, brick, cobblestone, flagstone, randon stone, wood plank,
and seamless textures.
Exposed agreggate
Pebbled or sanded finishes in which the rocks in the concrete or
added small pebbles are exposed through a washing process. Rocks
remain slightly above the above the surface to add color and dimension
to the final finish.
Salted
Rock salt is used to create small craters and holes in the surface
of the concrete giving a speckled more textured look when complete.
Colored
Color is added to concrete in both liguid and powder forms to create
shades other than the natural grey color. Integral color is mixed
in and goes through the entire concrete. Surface color is applied
to the surface and
Stained
Acid Stain is a coloring process involving a chemical reaction on
the concrete surface. The solution is made with water, acid and
salts that react with minerals in the concrete. It can be applied
both on new or old concrete. Acid Stains offer a beautiful finish
commonly used in commercial interiors.
Painted
Simply painting the concrete with paints designed for concrete. Paints
can last for years and are making a comeback from there popularity in
the past. One color, multiple colors, or ground murals, if you plan
on painting you may want to consider a hard trowel, smooth, or light
brushed texture finish for the concrete.
